The opportunity
We're seeking a talented Business Development Manager to join our client’s team in their inner Sydney office. You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities Australia wide and driving the development of renewable projects across solar, storage, and other energy-saving products.
You'll be responsible for:
- Understanding project viability, risks, win themes, and differentiators.
- Managing stakeholder relationships and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Researching and assessing the market to identify project opportunities aligned with the business strategy across renewable energy and battery storage developments, leveraging existing skills, expertise, and industry relationships.
- Manage commercial negotiations with clients and consultants
- Work with the internal team on due diligence, project analysis and internal approvals for successful delivery in a timely manner
- Provide regular and timely activity and pipeline reporting
About you
You're a self-driven, motivated individual with a passion for renewable energy and a track record of success in business development within the solar installation industry.
In addition, you will have:
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with all level of stakeholders in a commercial context
- Proven experience of securing commercial solar deals from 100 kW's to megawatt projects
- Strong project management skills with significant commercial acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A sound understanding of EPC contracting and risk management.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering or related business discipline.
- A self-starter, with a high level of initiative and the capability to work under pressure
