The opportunity
In this standalone Finance Manager role, you’ll oversee all accounting and finance operations across ANZ. You’ll be a key member of the leadership team locally while reporting to the Global Finance Director overseas. This is a broad role requiring both technical accounting expertise and confident stakeholder engagement.
You'll be responsible for:
- Day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payment runs, intercompany transactions, and month-end processes
- Journals and reconciliations (e.g. prepayments, accruals, deferred income, payroll, depreciation)
- Preparing P&L variance analysis and supporting budget planning
- Acting as a business partner to departmental heads, helping them understand and manage financial performance
- Managing external accountants and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
About you
You're an experienced finance professional who thrives in an autonomous role and knows how to balance rigour with pragmatism. You’re confident across the full finance function from hands-on invoicing to strategic analysis, and you’re comfortable liaising with both local and international stakeholders and ensure deadlines are strictly upheld.
You're also someone who’s curious about the business beyond the numbers, and who naturally asks, “How can we do this better?”
In addition, you will be:
- CPA, CMA, or CA qualified or equivalent.
- Proficient in Excel to a high-level with solid financial systems knowledge (SAP a bonus)
- Confident in managing cross-functional deadlines and keeping stakeholders accountable - assertively but always with a spirit of collaboration and mutual respect.
- Open to navigating change and ambiguity in a fast-moving business
- Experienced in a similar stand-alone role
