Hours: Full-time, Hybrid
Why join this organisation?
This renewable energy developer is a newly established venture led by an experienced industry founder with a strong track record in commercial energy projects. The organisation focuses on developing and operating commercial-scale solar assets and is entering an exciting period of growth with several high-value projects underway.
This is a rare chance to step into a hands-on, influential role where your organisational drive, commercial nous, and ability to create structure will directly contribute to the company’s success.
Some of the benefits on offer include:
- Close collaboration with an industry leader who empowers rather than micromanages
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
- Ability to shape systems, processes, and operational rhythm from day one
- Exposure to commercial, operational, and project development activities
- A role that genuinely contributes to Australia’s clean energy transition
The opportunity
As Business Manager, you’ll operate as the strategic right hand to the Founder, ensuring that business operations, projects, and workflows run efficiently and stay on track.
This is not a traditional EA role - while you’ll handle some executive support, the core of the role is operational coordination, project oversight, systems implementation, and organisational enablement. You’ll help build the operational backbone of a business entering rapid growth.
Ideal candidates come from renewable energy, construction, engineering, or infrastructure environments.
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day operational coordination across the organisation
- Supporting the founder with planning, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
- Tracking project milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies across multiple solar developments
- Coordinating communication between internal teams, contractors, and external partners
- Preparing proposals, reports, presentations, and commercial documentation
- Establishing business systems (Xero, Monday.com, CRM tools) to support operational clarity
- Supporting compliance, contract management, and HSEQ requirements
- Implementing processes and frameworks that enable scale and strengthen organisational discipline
- Maintaining confidentiality and a high level of professionalism
About you
You’re someone who thrives in dynamic environments, brings calm to complexity, and enjoys making things run well - not for the credit, but because excellence appeals to you. You’re steady, structured, and commercially sharp, with an instinct for keeping everything (and everyone) aligned.
In addition, you will have:
- Proven experience in business management, operations, senior EA support, or project coordination
- Background in renewables, construction, engineering, or infrastructure
- Strong organisational skills with a natural ability to prioritise across competing demands
- Excellent written communication and document-preparation capability
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and anticipate needs
- Confidence using platforms such as Xero and Monday.com
- High levels of discretion, integrity, and stakeholder maturity
