As part of the commitment to delivering innovative solutions and staying ahead in a dynamic market, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Energy Trading and Retail Pricing Manager to join their team. The Opportunity You will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing the wholesale pricing function for electricity and renewable products. Reporting to the Head of Trading, you will provide thought leadership and a practical approach to establishing pricing methodologies for new market segments and products. Collaborating with colleagues across the Trading and Commercial business, contributing to optimising pricing decisions, maximising profitability, and managing risks effectively. Key Responsibilities include: Working with the Commercial team members and the Manager of Structured Products & Analysis to design and value new pricing products for different customer segments. Leading the philosophy on pricing development and strategy. Driving pricing capability uplift through continuous review and improvement of pricing methodologies. Sponsoring the automation of sophisticated pricing models. Managing the transfer pricing process and provide input into hedging strategies. Executing trades on behalf of progressive purchase clients directly into the market as part of the Trading team. About you: You hold a Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in wholesale electricity pricing, trading, or risk management in the Australian energy market. In addition you will have: Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing wholesale electricity pricing strategies. Strong understanding of the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM) and regulatory environment. Advanced knowledge of pricing models and market analysis techniques. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
