The opportunity
This is a newly created position where you’ll lead geotechnical investigations, ground modelling, foundation design advice, and construction support across a diverse range of projects with a focus on commercial and residential development. As a key contributor in a growing capability area, you’ll collaborate closely with environmental and remediation teams to deliver integrated site solutions and help strengthen internal best practice processes.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Analysis across bearing capacity, slope stability, settlement, retaining walls and earthworks.
  • Preparing technical reports and recommendations aligned with Australian Standards.
  • Providing geotechnical input to design for civil and remediation works.
  • Overseeing fieldwork, lab testing and contractor performance.
  • Supporting client communication, budgeting and project delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO-certified QHSE systems

About you
You’re a technically skilled and solutions-focused engineer who thrives on variety and autonomy. You collaborate well across disciplines and take pride in delivering practical recommendations that support safe, cost-effective development outcomes.

In addition, you will have:
  • Bachelors degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering.
  • 5–7+ years’ experience in geotechnical design, investigation, and reporting.
  • A background in commercial and/or residential development projects.
  • Familiarity with local geology, regulatory frameworks and Australian Standards.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical findings clearly.
  • A proactive approach and a genuine interest in building a new function within a growing business.
  • Desirable: exposure to contaminated land or environmental consulting interface
