Career development into a leadership role The opportunity Our client is an expert in precision fermentation. In this role, you'll develop and implement upstream bioprocesses and assist with downstream processes for various microorganisms. Your focus will be on creating new methods and enhancing existing ones. They seek a hands-on expert in bioprocessing, a team player, and someone who will thrive in their innovative culture dedicated to delivering world-class products. You'll be responsible for: Developing and implementing upstream (fermentation) process development and scale-up. Isolating and scaling post-fermentation products at laboratory and pilot scales. Collaborating cross-functionally for successful project milestones and technology transfers. Preparing and revising documents, including presentations and reports. Organising and distributing meeting materials, reports, and action items. Travelling to partner organisations as needed. About you You have a background in chemical engineering, biochemistry, or related fields with hands-on expertise in bioproduct processing. You excel in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and have exceptional client relationship and communication skills. You are a people person and team player who thrives in an innovative culture. You demonstrate strong business acumen, making sound judgments and quick decisions with discretion and sensitivity in confidential matters. In addition, you will have: Postgraduate degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, or process engineering. 5-7 years of experience with PhD or 7-10 years with Masters in microbial process development and scale-up. Expertise in E.coli and P. pastoris bioprocessing with successful technology transfer experience. Knowledge of GMP methodologies is highly desirable Availability for domestic and international travel and flexibility across the working week during fermentation cycles High energy, multitasking ability, and sound decision-making with experience in food technology and HACCP principles.
